When school is out, the studio opens to new ideas. At Le Meraviglie Art Camp, children ages 8 and older have time to experiment, work alongside other young artists, and follow a project further than they might in an ordinary afternoon. Led by artist and educator Piera Bonerba, camp takes place at 67 Atlantic Avenue, near Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Columbia Waterfront. Each camp day introduces an artist, material, or way of making. Children explore drawing, painting, collage, music, movement, and collaborative projects, with room to make their own choices and develop their own point of view. Park visits and outdoor adventures bring new observations back into the studio.
