Halloween Costume Building Party
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 10/23/2025
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
- Are your kids' Halloween costumes ready to go, but you haven't even started on your own?
- Need to make wings, a hat, or some other key accessory to complete a look?
- Costume is all set - but it's too small?!
- Maybe you have costumes from last year that you'd like to donate?
We can help!
Old Stone House's Director of Programming, Madeline Wall, is an award winning costume designer and sewing teacher. She'll be available to make alterations/additions with her sewing machine.
Other OSH staff will be armed with hot-glue guns, lots of baubles, trim, and glitter to make your outfit sparkle! They'll be available to give you lots of advice and insight.
Costume donating and swapping is encouraged!
A note about materials:
We'll have a limited amount of free materials available on site. (Fabric, felt, construction paper, cardboard, paint, wire, Velcro, glue, elastic, sewing supplies, and more.) But please come prepared with the base of your costume and any specific elements you'd like to include.
Some good examples:
- Bring in your orange tshirt and we'll help you become a jack-o-lantern!
- Bring in your blue dress and we'll help you become the sparkly ice-princess of your dreams!
- You've got an ice cream costume ready to go? Let us help you make a hat that looks like the cherry on top!
