Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day 2025 and the arrival of spring in Brooklyn Bridge Park! Join us for Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26! Stop by Emily Warren Roebling Plaza to engage in a series of special fun and educational activities led by community partners and the Conservancy’s Environmental Education Center.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Partners and performers at the plaza from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (unless otherwise noted) include:
-
- Earth Matters
- Climate Families NYC
- Family friendly performance by Hila the Earth at noon
- BBP Environmental Education Center: Contribute to our community eco-art project! Using collected (and disinfected) plastic pollution from our Park’s shorelines, we’ll upcycle and turn trash into treasure!
- E-Waste Collection: hosted by Lower East Side Ecology Center (rain or shine!)
- Volunteer opportunities: Learn more about how you can get involved in Park stewardship
Want to really make a positive impact this Earth Month? Participate in the additional park events highlighted below to help clean park shorelines, and contribute to the scientific cataloging of BBP biodiversity.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
