Celebrate Manhattanhenge
The Museum’s Manhattanhenge program returns, with a lecture and viewing event celebrating the last opportunity to see the Manhattanhenge effect in 2025. Join Museum Senior Research Scientist Jackie Faherty for a 3D presentation about the science and history behind Manhattanhenge, the phenomenon when the setting Sun perfectly aligns with the cross streets of the Manhattan grid to create a stunning visual spectacle, using the Museum’s powerful OpenSpace visualization software.
